It was a lifetime ago when I first found out I was going to be a father. Feeling an immeasurable sense of joy, and an equal sense of fear, I knew my journey had just gone down a path I could not turn away from. As Gayle and I traveled farther down the path to parenthood, we chose names, redecorated rooms, and started collecting the things necessary for raising a child. Anticipation mounted daily. There is nothing so full of hope as the arrival of a new baby. Babies are our future, and as long as there are babies, there is hope.

General : Updates from the 2011 Kenow Family Reunion
Posted by skenow on Thu, 27 Oct 2011 (5013 reads)

Several family members gathered at the home of Spike Kenow on Saturday, 17 September for an afternoon of fun, food and stories. The weather was a bit cool and grey, but the sun came out for a while and everyone had a great time!

The official attendance count was 45 and 6 of the 12 families were represented. I've added an album on the KienowFamily.org website (and on Facebook, for those of you there. You should be able to view the photos without a Facebook account) of the photos taken today.

I think the approach we took this year was a winner - no meetings, no committee, just a date and time, a place and everyone bring snacks to share.

Stay in touch, spread the word, get connected with more kin and do this again soon!

Albert and Mary (Smetana) KienowThis year marks the 110th anniversary of Grandpa and Grandma's wedding and Spike Kenow has graciously invited the Clan to meet at her house on Saturday Sept. 17, 2011. Gathering time is 1:00 PM for visiting and reminiscing - eat before coming and bring a dessert or snack to share, keeping in mind those who are diabetic.
