PIONEER RESIDENT CROSSES THE DIVIDE. Funeral services for Mrs. Anna de Bryne Kops held Friday afternoon at Warsaw. Mrs. Anna de Bryne Kops aged resident of Morristown, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lester Kisor, Mar. 3, at 10 o'clock. Death was due to apoplexy. Mrs. Kops was born in Bohemia, Dec. 25, 1840. She came to Warsaw in 1856 and was united in marriage to Henry P. de Bryne Kops in 1856 by J. F. Weatherhead, who was then Justice of the Peace in Warsaw. Eight children were born to them, seven of whom survive. They are: J.C. de Bryne Kops. C.G.de Bryne Kops of Lawton, ND, H.O.de Bryne Kops of Havre, MT, Anna P. Kisor of Morristown, Lorena Kisor, and A.J. de Bryne Kops, also of Morristown and Lucy Earhart of Ross, ND. (Minnesota marriage records have 5 Oct 1859 as wedding date) Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 pm from the Methodist Episcopal Church at Warsaw. Interment was made at the Warsaw Cemetery. Eli Rosseau, Frank LaTana, Charles Koehler, M. F. Bemis, R. Bodke and William Dean were pallbearers. The decedent has lived in this vicinity ever since coming to America and has seen many wonderful changes take place since her arrival here. She lived about 18 years in Warsaw and Faribault. 52 years in her present home in the township of Morristown. |
