Note: Faribault Daily News - Nov. 24, 1926. MAX DUBEAU, SR, DIES IN CANADA.
Word has been received in Faribault announcing the death of Max Dubeau Sr, in Alberta, Canada yesterday. Max Dubeau was a former resident of Faribault, leaving here 20 years ago. His wife passed away seven years ago and was buried in this city. Mr. Dubeaau leaves six children, Max Dubeau Jr. and Mrs. Herman Fihn of Faribault, Adam Dubeau who made his home with his father in Canada, George Dubeau of Seattle, Mrs. George Durand of Bemdiji and Mrs. Albert McGlynn of Minneapolis. Details of Mr.Dubeau's death have not as yet been received by relatives here.
Max Dubeau Jr. left yesterday for Canada, after receiving word of his father's death.

Maxim Dubeau moved to Faribault from Montreal (Walter Durand recalls). Max homesteaded with George and Eleanor Durand at Stanley, Montrail Co., ND about 1903 and was still there when Willard I drowned 6 July 1907. Later, he and Adam established farm at Redcliffe, near Medicine Hat, Alta. Canada. Uncle Max loved to play solitaire as he sat alone evenings.
