In Like a Lion

The weather in Minnesota and much of the country has supplied us with something to talk about during these late months of winter. 2 storms in one week have brought almost 3' of snow in parts of southern Minnesota, reminding us that we are not the center of attention and cannot control everything.

I have been able to occupy myself with various web site activities, emails, and computer maintenance in between shoveling snow off the driveway. I haven't had to go out and chop wood to stay warm, feed the cows or the chickens, or go much farther outside than from my front door to my car.  What a difference a generation, or two, makes! What will our children and grandchildren do 50 years from now?
With this site, I hope to combine some of the old with some of the new. I'll be experimenting with different ways to present our history and our heritage and family members are welcome to visit and add their pieces to our puzzle. For those of you who are not members of the family, there will be little glimpses into parts of our cultural heritage, things about families, in general, and maybe even some things about running a web site like this.

See you again, soon!
