Larry A. Kenow, age 78 of Faribault and formerly Park Rapids, died on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Mayo Clinic, St. Mary’s Campus, Rochester.

Memorial services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. Dana Houck officiating. Interment and military rites will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Larry Alvin, the son of Hubert and Berneice (Bolin) Kenow, was born June 2, 1940 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1958 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Larry married Donna Roedecker on September 7, 1963 in Faribault. He retired from the Faribault Police Department after 25 years of service. Larry and Donna then moved to Park Rapids where they lived for 22 years until recently returning to Faribault. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 43 and VFW, Post 1562, both of Faribault and the Owatonna Gun Club. Larry enjoyed trapshooting, gun shows, fishing and the outdoors, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; four children, Kevin (and Brenda) of Faribault, Kim (and John) Milbert of Lakeville, Kelly (and Kerry) of Owatonna and Kris (and Stephanie) of Portland, ME; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Brian, Nick, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Alex, Alma, Kayla and Chelsea; two great grandchildren, Russland and Cooper; one brother, Tom (and Marilee) Kenow of Baxter and a sister, Betty (and Mike) Santana of Faribault.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter in law, Denise Kenow.
